Purandara Dasotsava

Celebrating the Legacy of the Father of Carnatic M​usic

The Purandara Dasotsava is a very important event being held at the Śrī Rāghavēndra Swāmy Maṭha in Elgin, Illinois. It celebrates Śrī Purandara Dāsa, who is highly respected as the 'Grandfather' of Carnatic Music and a key figure in the Dvaita philosophical tradition.

If your group wants to participate in the musical performances and honor his legacy, you must formally register. Each group is limited to a maximum of 10 minutes to ensure all participants get an equal opportunity.

To register, you need to gather and submit the following necessary details:

  • Your Group Name.
  • The Full Contact Details (Name, Phone, Email) of the lead person.
  • The Total Number of Performers.
  • The Exact List of Krithis (songs) your group plans to perform.
  • And other related information ("etc.").

Once you have this information, you must use the event's registration page to sign up.
